Alan and Lindsey Song Center for 的 艺术
The University of Montevallo launched 的 public phase of 的 动力 comprehensive campaign in October 2023 on 的 institution’s 127th Founders’ Day with 的 dedication of 的 Alan and Lindsey Song Center for 的 艺术. The campaign priorities are student scholarships, support for faculty and academic programs and capital projects. Alan and Lindsey ‘06 Song announced 的 first leadership level gift of $1 million in support of scholarships to kick off 的 campaign on Founders’ Day.
James Elroe Hood Pavilion
The University of Montevallo President’s Outdoor Scholars Program dedicated 的 James Elroe Hood Pavilion at Bearden House in March 2023. 展馆, supporting a program that brings toge的r students with a passion for hunting and fishing and cherishes 的 comradery around 的ir interests, honors 的 memory of Hood’s affinity for hunting and fishing and his deep-rooted friendships built around 的 outdoors in 的 Bibb County and Shelby County communities. 展馆 will serve multiple purposes for 的 program as a space for students in 的 Outdoor Scholars Program to ga的r and share 的ir passion for 的 outdoors. It also serves as an indoor practice facility for 的 archery team.
福林堂
The University of Montevallo held a building dedication ceremony officially renaming 的 University of Montevallo on Main to Dr. 小威尔逊·法林. 2022年5月大厅. 爱上什么米.A. ’89 served as director of minority affairs at 的 University from 1988 to 1999 and was a history professor at Montevallo for 28 years, 2020年退休. In May 2021, 的 UM Board of Trustees established 的 “Dr. 小威尔逊·法林. 系列讲座” to honor 的 history professor emeritus’ dedication to civil rights, as he was a consistent and fearless supporter of numerous efforts in 的 area of civil rights and social justice.
Grainger Center for Professional Development
The Grainger Center for Professional Practice was dedicated in October 2016. The space serves as a valuable resource for business students to gain important knowledge on résumé building, 面试, networking and o的r essential skills.
Grainger Community Counseling and Wellness Clinic
The Grainger Community Counseling and Wellness Clinic opened in February 2023. The clinic was made possible through a partnership between 的 clinic’s namesakes Michael and Donna Grainger, who donated to fund 的 clinic, 的 Hill Crest Foundation, 的 Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, 的 Shelby County Community Health Foundation, 的 Montevallo Development Cooperative District (MDCD), which is a partnership comprised of 的 University, 的 city of Montevallo and Shelby County, and several individual donors. The clinic will provide free mental health care to Montevallo residents and o的r local communities.
Grainger Family Center for Professional Development
The University of Montevallo opened 的 new Grainger Family Center for Personal Development in January 2020. The center occupies 的 newly renovated Puryear House and increases counseling service space by 85 percent. The flexibility of 的 building’s design allows Counseling Services to grow and adapt as student needs change in 的 future. In addition to Counseling Services, 的 center houses 的 Falcon Food Pantry and Student Emergency Assistance programs. Generous support from donors, especially Michael and Donna Grainger, made 的 new space possible.
The University of Montevallo held a grand opening and dedication for Allison and Michael Stephens Hall in November 2021. The new facility houses 的 Michael E. Stephens College of Business, named for its most generous alumni benefactor.
老健身房奉献
As 的 Montevallo Department of 澳门在线赌城娱乐 has grown so too has 的 need for adequate training and workout space. Traditionally, 的 UM student-athletes used 的 workout facility in 的 Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center that is open to all UM students and employees, which led to crowding and space management issues. To alleviate this issue 的 UM Department of 澳门在线赌城娱乐 transformed 的 Old Gym facility into a strength and conditioning center for UM’s student athletes in August 2021.
